Leone Stars assemble 10 foreign based players to face Chad

Ten out of thirteen foreign based players invited by Leone Stars coach Sellas Teteh are in N'djamena to face Chad in their opening fixture of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.
They are Sheriff Suma
(Azerbaijan), Mohamed 'Medo' Kamara (England), Mustapha Dumbuya (England),
Umaru 'Zingaay' Bangura (Belarus), Abdul Sesay (Finland), John Kamara (Greece),
Mohamed 'Poborsky' Bangura (Sweden), Alhaji 'Andriano' Kamara (Sweden), Solomon
Zombo Morris (France) and Mohamed Kanu (Liberia).
Saudi
Arabia based defender David Simbo pulled out of the squad because of injury
while George Davies who plays in Germany will not be available too.
Leading
goal scorer in the United States MLS Kei Ansu Kamara was invited but decided
not to honour the invitation as he has put a halt to his international career
with Sierra Leone.
The
squad in N'djamena also include nine home based players.
Leone
Stars will host the return leg in the Nigerian city of Port Harcourt on October 13 and
the winner over the two legs will face Egypt in the second round of the
qualifiers next month.
